Get at least 5 websites ranked in the top 10 in Google. You don’t need to have even a single number one ranking, most people are happy with a first page listing. You need to have several sites that you are the administrator to ranked in the top 10 in Google so that you will turn inquiries in to clients.

You will always want to track any change you made. If you change a title then mark it down. See what happens to your rankings, and then wait a few weeks and see what else happens. SEO is not fast, so do not panic if you lose rankings, they usually come back. You need to develop a method to keyword research. You can use statistics like number of monthly searches, number of ranked sites, or the competitive index. There is a specific process search engines use to find your site. The best way for them to find your site is without your help. People never seem to realize that submitting your site to the search engines does not help. When you do a site submit you could not only delay getting indexed, you could delay results.

Doing a site submit at these sites that will submit your site to hundreds or thousands of search engiens is not worth the money. Some even say they will help your rankings by resubmitting once every 30 days or something. This does not help your rankings or speed up SEO in any way. All this does is make a company some money and make you spend your money.

Site submits really only tell the search engine that you exist. It doesn’t mean you will be indexed, or that the search engines will even crawl your site. You know what will tell the search engines you exist? Links. If you can get a bunch of links to your website then the search engines will find you, not only will they find you they will love you, even if your site is brand new.

I do a lot of work with websites. I have never submitted one to search engines. I always get links pointing to my sites. One time I got a site indexed on page one for a pretty competitive keyword in one day! Now I need to say I didn’t stay there I had to work to get back up there. I think I got there because Google thought my site was breaking news or a new product.

I have very simple methodology for getting my sites ranked high in the search engines. I do the same thing every time, and without fail in no more than 3 days my site is in the search engines and indexed. I then continue to work and move my sites up to the top of the search engines. It is fantastic for business when you can be on top of Google, but you have to start by Google finding your site.

1: Go out to Google and other keyword sites and do some real keyword research. You want to target the keywords that are searched for about 100,000 times a month. The reason is you can rank easily for some of these and being in position number one for these can bring you upwards of 3000 visits per day for free. If you convert just 1% which is not very good, you will still get 30 sales a day.

2: After you pick your keywords you need to put them in your title. Pick 3 of the major keywords you want to target. Put the main one in the beginning of your title, put the least searched one in the middle and then put the last searched one at the end. You can work them into a sentence or you can just seperate them with hyphens. Don’t use more or less than 3 keywords to get the maximum impact and ability to do SEO

3: Add a meta description tag to your website. Main point here is to include your keywords but don’t stuff it with keywords. If you make it something other than natural writing people will assume your site is spam and skip it. You want the description to contain keywords in a natural way so that people will actually want to visit your site. This is your first impression with a searcher, make it a good one.

4: Keywords metatags can be used to help your rankings as well. Since this is a hidden area of your site I recommend putting your main keywords in, some other words related to your site and possible some misspellings. This will help you rank when people make a mistake typing in search engines without displaying it right on your site.

5: Write a whole bunch of content. You need to not only fill your site with keyword rich content, but you need to distribute content to other sites. This is probably the most important part of being in business on the internet. If you do not like to write you are either going to have to pay someone to do it, or get in another business. The internet is about information if you can’t produce information, you will not produce results.
